Wholesale online store · Sydney
DZ Electrical Products
A wholesale electrical supplier with a large catalogue, selling to electricians and resellers who want to order online at trade prices.
The business
DZ Electrical Products supplies cables, tools and everyday electrical consumables to trade customers, with next-day delivery typical across Sydney and shipping to Brisbane, Melbourne and beyond.
What it needed
Trade customers don't browse, they search. They need to find a product fast, get their trade pricing and reorder without ringing the office, while retail buyers still need a simple way to shop.
What we built
- A Shopify store with the full catalogue organised into brand and product collections
- Product search across the whole catalogue
- Trade accounts with tiered pricing, and an online trade account application
- An Everyday Essentials collection for the consumables customers reorder most
- A customer FAQ and shipping, returns and privacy policies written in plain English
- Storefronts set up for Australian and overseas customers
Under the hood
Shopify handles payments, stock and shipping rules, which keeps running costs low and lets the owner add products and change prices without us. We handled the design, the collection structure and the trade pricing setup.
